Metabolic Conditioning Workout
Sorry I haven’t been posting as of late. Not only do I maintain this site, but I have a graphic design business, too. Been absolutely swamped lately, which of course, is a good thing. Just not good for blog posting! I have been working out, I just haven’t been able to post my results. I hope to catch up now that things are returning back to normal on the design front.
Today, just as in the First Block, I am using the Tacfit Commando metcon workout. “Metcon” stands for “Metabolic Conditioning.” There are several Tacfit Commando levels. I am still on the Recruit level, which is the beginner level. Once this block is over, I’ll advance to the next level. A metabolic conditioning workout can be defined as a circuit (circuit training) of six exercises in this instance, timed for short intervals where you give it your all to try to reach your anabolic threshold. In other words, you go to you’re gassed! Tacfit Commando is loosely based on the Tabata Protocol. You go all out for 20 seconds, rest for 10, repeat 7 more times… for each exercise in the circuit!
