In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been posting my workouts as of late. At least I haven’t been with the frequency that I used to. I will try to get better about it, starting with today’s blog post.
This past Saturday, a beautiful spring day in the Carolinas, I suffered from Spring Fever in a bad way. Actually, since the date was March 19, 2011, it was in reality the last day of winter. However, the temperature was in the mid-70s (Fahrenheit) so only the pickiest of people would call it a winter day! Charlotte held its annual St. Patrick’s Day parade downtown and my local dog park got a group together to march. A friend and I went together with our dogs and we had a really good time. However, the sun was shining brightly that day so I did manage to get quite a bit of sun.
After returning home, I had planned on hitting some tennis balls at the local public park. First, though, my aging parents needed for me to mow the lawn. Silly me forgot to wear work gloves and I got blisters on both hands. Not just blisters, mind you, but bubbles the size of golf balls! Yes, they hurt. On top of that, I had managed to get even more sun. I was smart enough to apply sunscreen, but there is something about overdosing on Vitamin D that just drains you. Read more
